Synopsis:
Adaptation from southern fiction writer Doris Betts. Inspired by a true incident, the story tells of a despondent father,Jamison, about to drown his 9 month old daughter. Lonely, eccentric, Zelene, saves the baby and raises her under the watchful eye of the general store owner, Coley. Then Jamison returns . . .
