Jake Connell has everything going for him. He’s smart, talented, and on top of the world. When his mother dies from cancer, his father decides to move the family to Florida. Jake loses all motivation and starts on a decline driven by drugs and bad peer influences. When “good girl” Erika enters his life, he is given a chance for redemption, but once he meets Dylan and starts shooting up OxyContin, his life goes out of control. Skipping school and fighting with his brother, with whom he previously had a close bond, become his new life. Jake bottoms out after crashing his car while high, and is sent to rehab. Rehab is a great thing for Jake. He finally is able to think with a clear head again. Realizing he took Erika for granted, he tries to make amends with her a day too late. |
